Who runs this project

Citizen Stewardship is a citizen-created public discussion project focused on democratic renewal and civic reform in the United States. The public website is available at citizenstewardship.org and the public contact email is [email protected].

What this project collects directly

The site itself does not require user accounts. It does not intentionally use analytics or advertising trackers, sell personal information, process payments, or operate its own database for comments, submissions, or accounts. The site publishes public pages and proposal PDFs.

The site does not intentionally collect sensitive personal information. Please do not send or post private information that does not belong in a public civic review process.

Contact form

The Contact page uses Formspree. If you submit the contact form, the information you provide, including your name, email address, subject, and message, is sent through Formspree and then to the site owner.

The contact form is processed by Formspree. Formspree may process the information you submit so the message can be delivered.

Email

You may also email [email protected] directly. If you do, your email address and message are visible to the site owner and may be retained as needed to read, respond to, or keep a record of the message.

GitHub Discussions

Citizen Stewardship uses GitHub Discussions for public discussion, forum-style interaction, and public proposal submissions. Anything posted there is public and subject to GitHub's own terms and privacy policy.

Public submissions and comments

Public proposal submissions are handled through GitHub Discussions. Public submissions may be reviewed, discussed, linked, moved, copied, summarized, or referenced as part of the Citizen Stewardship public review process.

Review or listing does not mean full endorsement or final adoption. It means the submission is considered relevant enough for public review or further discussion.

Hosting and technical data

The site is hosted through Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process technical data such as IP address, browser information, request logs, security events, and similar data needed to deliver and protect the site.

The site may use normal browser requests to load pages, images, proposal PDFs, CSS, JavaScript, fonts, and other static files needed for the website to work.

Cookies and analytics

The site itself does not intentionally use analytics, advertising trackers, or its own tracking cookies. Browser, hosting, security, or third-party services may still process technical information under their own policies when you use those services or when they deliver required website infrastructure.

Third-party services

The site may link to third-party websites, including GitHub, Formspree, Cloudflare, and social platforms. Once you leave citizenstewardship.org, those services' policies apply.

The site uses this social/Open Graph image when pages are shared: https://citizenstewardship.org/assets/images/citizen-stewardship-social.png. Social platforms may display that image and may collect data according to their own policies when you use or share content on those platforms.

Children's privacy

Citizen Stewardship is a public civic website and is not directed to children. Do not use the contact form or GitHub Discussions to submit personal information from a child.

Do not submit private or sensitive information

Do not post or send private personal information, doxxing material, sensitive personal data, confidential documents, private addresses, private phone numbers, passwords, medical information, financial information, or anything you do not want public.

How to request removal or correction

To ask for a correction or removal related to this website, email [email protected]. Requests involving content posted on GitHub Discussions may also need to be handled through GitHub, because those posts are hosted by GitHub and tied to GitHub accounts.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the site changes, when public submission processes change, or when third-party services used by the site change. The updated date above will be revised when that happens.

Rules for using the site, participating in discussions, and submitting ideas are covered in the Terms of Use.
